About us

Meet William

My career started at Mullen & Lumsden of High Holborn. After completing a four-year City & Guilds apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery at Hackney Technical College I worked for various building and carpentry companies (including work at the House of Commons whilst at Alan Apps Joinery) before meeting Derek when we both worked  for WR Leggett in Clerkenwell.

Meet Derek

I started my career working for WR Leggett in 1968 and initially worked with a senior colleague who had 50 years’ experience. This wealth of knowledge was passed on to me and I have now added another 50 years of my own experience. I’m proud to say that I have few rivals when it comes to the range and depth of my knowledge and experience of door closers.

Company History

During our time at Leggetts we built up good working relationships with many building managers. When Leggetts when bankrupt in 1996 we were asked by many clients if we could keep looking after their doors. One meeting with an accountant later, our company was born.
